Frequently asked questions

How do I brighten a dark photo?

Upload it and raise Brightness a little, then add some Contrast so it does not look washed out. Small changes work best: try +20 brightness and +10 contrast, and compare with the original using the “Hold to see the original” button.

How do I make a photo black and white?

Choose the Black & white look, or pull Colour intensity all the way down. Add a little contrast for a richer result. The Sepia look gives the same effect with a warm brown tone.

What do warmth and colour intensity do?

Warmth shifts the whole picture towards orange (warmer) or blue (cooler), which helps with photos taken under yellow indoor lights or in cold shade. Colour intensity makes colours stronger or weaker without changing brightness.

Will saving reduce the quality?

The edits are applied to the full-size photo, not the preview. A JPG at 92% quality looks the same as the original for normal use, or choose PNG to avoid any loss. Very large photos over 12,000 pixels are scaled down to fit.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. All the editing happens in your browser, so your photo never leaves your device.
