Pages are drawn as they appear in a PDF viewer. Higher resolution gives sharper images but much larger files.
Your PDF is processed entirely in your browser and is never uploaded anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert a PDF to JPG?
Upload the PDF, keep the format on JPG, choose a resolution and click Convert pages. Each page becomes a picture you can download on its own, or all together as a ZIP.
Should I choose JPG or PNG?
JPG is smaller and ideal for photos and scans. PNG is lossless and keeps text and line art perfectly sharp, but the files are larger. For text documents, PNG or JPG at 150 DPI or higher both read well.
What resolution do I need?
72 to 110 DPI is enough for viewing on screen and sharing in chat. 150 DPI is a good all-round quality, and 300 DPI is for printing. Very large pages are limited to a maximum image size so your browser does not run out of memory.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The pages are drawn and converted in your browser, so your document never leaves your device. Only the library code that reads PDFs is loaded from a CDN.
