Frequently asked questions

How do I add page numbers to a PDF?

Upload the PDF, choose a format and position, check the preview, and click Add numbers & download. The numbers are stamped onto each page in your browser.

Can I leave the cover page unnumbered?

Yes. Tick “Skip the first page”, and numbering starts on page 2 with whatever first number you choose. You can also number only some pages by typing a range such as 2-10.

Can I make numbering start from a different number?

Yes — set “First number”. For “Page 1 of 10” style, the total adjusts to match the pages that are numbered.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so the document never leaves your device. Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened.
