Frequently asked questions

Is my video uploaded to a server?

No — the converter runs entirely in your browser using ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Your video is never sent anywhere.

Do I need to sign up or install anything?

No — the tool works instantly with no account and no installation, the same as every other tool on Dharmdutt.com. The converter engine (about 32 MB) downloads once and is cached by your browser.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no fixed limit, but the finished MP4 has to fit in your browser’s memory, which in practice means roughly 1–2 GB. For larger files, trim the video, lower the quality, or run the generated ffmpeg command on your own computer.
