How do I convert between units?

How many square feet are in an acre?
One acre is 43,560 square feet, or 4,046.86 square metres. Select Area, set From to Acre and To to Square foot to check any other value.
What is a tola in grams?
One tola is 11.6638 grams, the traditional unit still used for gold and silver in India. Select Weight and choose Tola to convert it to grams or kilograms.
Why are there two kinds of kilobyte and megabyte?
Storage makers count 1 KB as 1,000 bytes, while operating systems often count 1,024 bytes and call it a KiB (kibibyte). The converter has both so you can see why a drive sold as 500 GB shows up as a smaller number on a computer.
How are temperatures converted?
Fahrenheit = Celsius × 9/5 + 32, and Kelvin = Celsius + 273.15. Temperature scales do not start at the same zero, so they cannot be converted with a single multiplier like other units.
